Welcome to my first writing update! I’m currently working on a couple projects under pen names, and I figured I’d share updates as they progress!

Because I’m sharing these updates, I may end up outing my pen names, but that’s okay. I can’t keep a secret to save my life, so I was probably going to spill it somehow anyway!

So let me share the two projects I’m working on and where I’m at with them.

Project One

the Small-Town Romance

This idea kind of popped into my head randomly one day, and it took right off. Not only did I think of one novel, but suddenly it was turning into an entire series, and I now have ideas for two more books.

And then it didn’t even stop there, because I thought of a dark-ish romance series in the same universe!

But that’s for a future update, because I’m still working on book one. For now, let me share the vibes. And yes, the Saint Bernard character is based on my dog, Murphy.

My current word count on this one is 16,125, and I have a pretty aggressive goal to finish my first draft! I can’t wait to share more!

Project Two

Horror Novella

This is changing gears in tone quite a bit! I haven’t started this one yet, but it will feature:

  • A rundown motel

  • Hidden cameras

  • Liminal spaces

  • A journey into the depths of the building

  • Organized crime

I’m reeeeally excited to get started on this one, and I can’t wait to tell you about it as it comes together.

That’s it for my first update! This one was short and sweet, but as I get further into these projects, I’ll definitely have more to share.
